comments	This private club was opened in 1912, and redesigned by Donald Ross in 1919. The course is located on the side of a ridge on hilly terrain and features tree-lined fairways. The large, undulating greens will test your putting skills. The signature hole is #9, a long 234-yard, par 3, rated by "Score Magazine" as the hardest par 3 in the country. The tee shot is uphill to an inverted saucer-shaped green. If you make the green, staying on it can be a problem. There have been only five holes-in-one in the courses existence. Water comes into play on three of the eighteen holes. Reciprocal arrangements must be made by the pros at participating private clubs.
